Mr. Robot’s Rami Malek talks about social media

Despite having a verified Instagram account, Mr. Robot star Rami Malek hasn’t shared anything on his page. He did post two pictures from the Golden Globes but proceeded to delete them minutes later. When asked about it by the Los Angeles Times, he said “People are spending so much time staging photos — what they’re eating, how much fun they’re having … even the way they shape their faces in the pictures is contorted.”

He also added, “everything is filtered. Everything is manicured. It’s a house of cards and it’s going to come crashing down one day and you with it.”

To be fair, it seems to suit his Mr. Robot persona well–the introvert who doesn’t fall for social media hype and popularity contests.

We hope he backtracks one day though and decides to go on a posting spree so we can see more of him. If not, we’ll just stick to stalking his Twitter account!
