Zayn Malik pulls out of gig after anxiety attack

The former One Direction star has pulled out of the Capital FM Summertime Ball after citing that he has “the worst anxiety of my career.”
He apologised to fans via Instagram for his last-minute decision to pull out of the show at Wembley Stadium.
“Unfortunately, my anxiety that has haunted me throughout the last few months around live performances has gotten the better of me,” he said.
“With the magnitude of the event, I have suffered the worst anxiety of my career. I cannot apologise enough.
“I promise I will do my best to make this up to everybody I’ve let down today.”

In a statement, Captial FM said: “We know everyone’s already had a great day and enjoyed the 19 other huge artists’ performances, but of course we’re all gutted that Zayn’s had to pull out tonight at the last minute.”
This isn’t the first time Zayn has pulled out of an appearance recently. Earlier this year in January, he pulled out of The Graham Norton Show due to “scheduling” issues and month later, he cancelled a Radio 1 interview with DJ Greg James.
It doesn’t seem to have annoyed fans though, with many of them rallying behind him. One user commented on Instagram: “Just take little steps along the way. Slow down and just don’t overthink everything Zayn. Surround yourself with positive people who care about you and your health. I’m praying for you Zayn. Feel better ^-^.” Another user said: “Anxiety can come uninvited and from out of nowhere … Take care and don’t worry.”
