Emilia Clarke confesses she had to down alcohol before nudity scene in 'Game of Thrones'

Everybody gets nervous when they need to strip naked in front of people, and Emilia Clarke is no different! She had to down a bit of liquid courage before she filmed her recent nude scene in Game of Thrones.

The ‘Mother of Dragons’ told The Sun: “All I needed was vodka and some flattering lighting and I was ready.” Throwing away her no-nudity clause to do a nudity scene in the recent Game of Thrones episode was surprising but according to Emilia, it was required to “empower” her character, Daenerys Targaryen, as she emerged from a fire.

“I was so thrilled with it. It’s not a sexy scene, she’s not naked for no reason, it’s not gratuitous. She’s naked because she’s just destroyed her enemies in this almighty blaze after they underestimated her.

“She played her trump card — how could I say no?”

The whole experience was made easier by the show’s creators leaving alcohol in her dressing room. Washing away her inhibitions certainly helped her disrobe, enabling her to create a strong “girl-power wow scene.”

We definitely have a huge girl crush on Emilia.
